St Andrews
A Croydon school briefed in both a redesign of their emblem and subsequent brand roll out. Their previous crest featured a Saltire cutting through a bright red crown – the school’s motto is ‘per crucem ad coronam’ (through the cross and the crown). A single line mark was developed that didn’t stray from this concept; but was a little less literal than their previous emblem. I then explored the use of mark as a device in itself – bringing the subjects to life, keeping everything light and approachable.
